There are fish that weigh more than are refrigerator and there are fish that look like cows – in as much as they have long faces and looked like cows to the people who named them cow-fish.

In fact there are some strange creatures that swim through the waters of the world. So, how are we to get to know all these creatures and many more or our fellow animal inhabitation?

That’s every type known to man. Fish are really not all that well-known because they live so deep down beneath the surface of the sea. But scientists are constantly discovering new varieties and species of fish and what better way to catalogue then than at a site that can host so much matter? The website’s developers dream of making it the largest biological encyclopedia ever, with a web page for every living species!

The good thing about the Internet is that this book can keep growing in size to millions of pages. However if those pages were made of paper, the book would become unwieldy and heavy and hard to update. Now, because it’s available online – and only online – anyone and everyone with access to a computer can browse its virtual pages effortlessly. New pages and fresh updates can be added and carried out the same day as information comes in and becomes available.
